The board is constituted to act as a focal point of corporate governance and is responsible to ensure continued success of the Society.
The board is composed as follows:
- Three members appointed by Government and representing government
- Three members appointed by civil servants and representing civil servants.
- Three members elected by members
- Two members elected by affiliate employer organisations excluding government.
- The Managing Director is the Principal Officer and is an ex-officio member.
Mr Jeremiah Bvirindi (Board Chairman)
Mr Bvirindi is the Chairman of the Board. He is the Executive Secretary of the Public Service Association. The PSMAS Board Chairman holds a Master of Public Sector Management Degree, an Executive Master of Business Administration degree and has audit and accounting experience. He is a Doctoral Researcher in Business Administration. His background and career path are most valuable to the course that PSMAS is charting. He has presented papers at international fora and is a leading researcher on civil service and corporate operations.
Mrs Fatima Chauruka (Board Vice Chairperson)
Mrs Fatima Chauruka is the Principal Accountant (Sales and Trading) at Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC). She is the Vice Chairperson of the Board. She holds a Bachelor in Accounting Science and is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators and an SAP ERP Solution Consultant.
Ms Loice Ngulube
Ms Loice Ngulube is the IT Executive at the People’s Own Savings Bank (POSB). She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and Computing Science(UZ), Certified Information systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Project Manager (PRINCE2) & Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Practitioner. She has provided executive leadership for the POSB and will be doing the same for the Society. She is also a State Registered Nurse (Mpilo), bringing together health and technology comprehension.
She participates and contributes to international ICT Forums, in particular World Information Technology Forum (WITFOR) in Europe and South America. She is an active participant of the Chief Information Officers (CIO) Forum, whose objectives are to harness and put to application outputs from WITFOR to regulatory and policy makers. She is a professional member of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe which is a member of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFiP).
Mr Eria Hamandishe
Mr Eria Hamandishe is the Director, Fiscal Policy and Advisory Services Department in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. He holds a Masters of Science Degree in Economics and is involved in the development of national fiscal and macro-economic frameworks and Programmes. He is also responsible for coordinating the formulation of the National Budgets and tracks performance and developments in the economy.
He sits on a number of corporate boards and was a member of the Interim Management Team that began the PSMAS turnaround.
Mr Simangaliso Mafa
Mr Mafa is the President of the Zimbabwe Nurses Association. He holds a Masters of Science in Maternal Child Health from the University of Zimbabwe, an Executive MBA, A BSc in Community Health and Post Graduate Diplomas in Community Health and Midwifery.
He sits on several corporate and Health service-related boards and is a past Board member of various local, regional and international bodies in his field. He is the Country National Representative to the International Council of Nurses (ICN). He was recently elected to Chair The Southern Africa Network of Nurses and Midwives (SANNAM), which has an affiliation of 15 SADC countries.
He has over 20 years’ experience in Community and Maternal Child Health issues and vast experience in both Nursing and Administration.
Mr Ottoman Magaya
Mr Magaya is a qualified Teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography and Environmental Studies and a Masters of Arts Degree in Development Studies. He has been in the teaching field for nearly twenty (20) years. Mr Magaya is a leading community projects initiator and manager and has initiated a number of developmental projects country-wide. He is the current Secretary General of the Teachers Union of Zimbabwe.
Mr Lender Dube
Mr Dube is the Inspector General for Performance Audit in the Public Service Commission. He holds a Bsc Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He is highly experienced in Health Service Management and Human Resources Management and Performance auditing.
Mr John Mulilo
Mr Mulilo is a lecturer at Nyadire Teachers College. He is the National Treasurer of the Zimbabwe Teachers Association. He holds a Master of Education Degree in Teacher Education, a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Diploma in Agricultural Education.
Mr Valerio Mukova
Mr Mukova is the Acting Deputy Director of Primary and Secondary Education operating at CDTS at Mount Pleasant. He holds a Bachelor of Education Degree and has experience in teacher training and administration. He is a Board Member of HEXCO Mashonaland, Board Member of Happy Primary School and Chairman of the CCOSA Examination Advisory Board.
Mr Clemence Zondile Vusani
Mr Vusani is the Director Labour Administration in the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare. He is also a Consultant on Labour Relations and Human Resources issues. He was a member of the Interim Management team which started the PSMAS turnaround process. He holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies.
Mr Jameson Mupariwa Mukaratirwa
Mr Mukaratirwa is State Counsel I/ Director in the Legislative Drafting Division in the Attorney-General’s Office. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree (LLB), a Master of Laws in International Economic Law (LLM) and a Master of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance (MBM).
