Medicines Formulary
PSMAS has come up with a Medicines Formulary. It is a list of Medicines that the Society will be covering based on each individuals requirements and medical aid scheme a member is on. The purpose of using a Medicine formulary is to provide high-quality care using the most cost-effective medications.
Make reference to it as you prescribe for PSMAS members such that they can enjoy optimum cover on their medicines. The Medicines Formulary distinguishes between the different medical aid schemes available at PSMAS and indicates what a member can expect to receive from the medical aid scheme they selected.
The Medicines Formulary will continue to be modified to meet the healthcare demands of our members and also in line with current treatment guidelines.
